First: My scanner died, so if the label seems a bit distorted, that's because I took the pic with my iPad. There is nothing wrong with the labels.
Just a note about these original Capitol swirl label releases - I will be pointing out what may seem very minor differences between label or matrix info variations. For those out there who are truly collecting these variations, these are not minor. They are indeed variations.

"CAN'T BUY ME LOVE" b/w "You Can't Do That" Capitol 5150
Up for auction is what appears to be a rare contract pressing for this title from Capitol. This is a second pressing issued late 1964 with the "Northern Songs Limited" publishing credits on the labels. This record is in VG- condition. Matrix info is as follows: A-side - 45X 44914 P-7 (there is a "P" etched into the dead wax as well). B-side - 45X-44913-P10. Completely different handwriting on both sides. Usually they match. Could this be a Decca contract pressing out of the Pinckneyville factory? Would love some input, please. There are no Capitol record factory symbols to be found. and the B-side label is kind of sloppy with the ink splatters. Anyway... Betchya don't have one.
I am dumping my collection, ma'peeps. I've got great stuff and a significant event if you collect Apple and Capitol Beatles records.
