Christmas Message 7" Flexi-Disc on Americom Records #H-2565
THIS IS AN INCREDIBLY RARE RECORD IN THIS CONDITION
Each year from 1963 through 1969, the Beatles recorded a special Christmas greeting for their fans. The official Beatles fan Club in England sent out a flexi-disc containing the Christmas messages to their membership each holiday season. The American Fan Club, Beatles U.S.A. Ltd. was established in 1964 and for their first Christmas, the American Fan Club sent fans the 1963 U.K. Christmas message on a square soundcard. No message was sent to the American fans in 1965 because the tape arrived to late. The American Fan Club got back on track in 1966 and began to send out flexi-discs in 1967, 1968 and 1969. Because the group officially broke up in 1970, no Christmas message was prepared for that holiday season. This RARE Beatles record can be found listed in the Perry Cox "Beatles American Records Price Guide" on page 51. Not Christmas songs per se, they mostly consisted of just the lads clowning around in the studio, creating Christmas, and other improvised and scripted songs and obligatory Holiday Wishes. This cover is the exactly the same as the UK cover.
This recording was not sold in any stores. Copies were not available, at any price, to anyone who was not a member of the official Beatles Fan Club. These Christmas message Flexi-Disc recordings had a very LIMITED press run and remain an exclusive Collectors Gem whose value to Beatles Collectors will only increase with each year that passes.
COVER: This cover is bright and extremely clean and constructed of card stock. All of the seams are tight and completely intact. There are No seam splits, No record ring, No writing, No tape marks, No rips or tears. It has a very minor wear and one small and hard to see crease on the front. In Excellent+ condition.
FLEXI-DISC: Disc is Stunning and looks like it was never played. There are No visible scratches at all. In Near Mint condition.
