From Parlophone Records (PCS 3058) this is A HARD DAY'S NIGHT  by JOHN, PAUL, GEORGE and RINGO, an early stereo pressing made in the UK.   Jacket is beautiful (wrap still intact) with one slightly bumped corner, o/w NEAR MINT!   Labels show spindle marks and the playing surface has buffs and a few hairline marks -- visually grades at about VG (matrix numbers are printed on the labels).  Play-grades at NEAR MINT MINUS and better!  No kidding.  Beautiful separation with no distortion and a crisp, clean mid-range that will knock your socks off.  Play as loud as you like.  The harmonies only become more celestial and voluptuous!   No surface noise.  If there's a soft pop or click I missed it because I was amazed, carried away really, with the quality of sound.  Having heard the Japanese version side by side with this one I must admit that the British pressing is every bit as good and in some ways even better.   For me: Why should I pay hundreds of US dollars for a MINT Japanese version when a British VG copy is every bit as sweet?!
