Description

 This is the black, oak rolltop box and booklet from the first issue of "The Beatles Box Set" - the UK LP versions of their albums. It was sent empty to stores by Capitol Records to use as a display. I managed a record store for 23 years which finally closed its doors a year ago. We had a couple of these and I sold one last year. I came across this last empty box as I've reached the end of our storage facility. The box is in excellent condition and is numbered "2527". The book is in there and is in great shape but for a bit of moisture damage to the top center of the first half. There are no stains or mold, just some "blooming" of the first few pages which is hardly noticeable. If you couldn't afford the box when it came out and bought the LPs individually, this is a great opportunity to put the collection together in a now rare configuration. (I would like to point out that shipping outside North America will be quite expensive - $50 and up - so please consider that when bidding.)
