Beatles Investment Grade Butcher Cover
***** Great seller, great item - it pays to trust the expert *****
Take a look around and look closely and compare the quality of the peels being offered at much higher prices.
The quality of this piece exceeds those peels as this was performed at a higher level of skill and yet the price is significantly lower. Please check our feedback for prior Butcher Cover sales as we've sold many high quality 3rd states over the last 20 years.  A stereo Peel performed by TheButcherCover just sold a few days ago for over $3100. The opening bid for this is well below market value at $1499. These certified Butcher Covers command top dollar on the secondary market.

This is an investment grade example due to the quality of the peel , overall condition of the jacket and the overall quality of the package as a whole. 3rd States (Peeled) of this quality are getting harder to source and have been commanding top dollar due to the
rarity of the condition. Comes with a COA from TheButcherCover as well as some free added fun extras telling about the Butcher Cover (see photos) .

The peel is equally as nice and this presents as well as nearly any jacket we have offered in the past.  Most of the peels offered on the internet have noticeable damage to the Butcher slick, but not the case here. This is a gorgeous peel.  Borders are nice with light aging and seams and spine are intact.

Overall, this is a solid jacket with the lightest of wear aging  to the back . The top seam on this is complete with no issue (see the three close up photos of this seam) Bottom seam is also complete (See three Bottom seam photos) . The spine printing is all present and the spine is complete (see three spine pictures).  Although the spine and seams are good, we don't recommend sliding or storing the record in and out of this jacket that is now nearly 60 years old. The seam paper is very thin and can be frail due to age. The back of the jacket is fairly clean with light tanning and a few very small age stains (see photo of back).  Please examine all photos for details and to confirm condition.

Comes with an original crisp goldenrod 1966 inner sleeve in nice condition and a mono Scranton pressing in VG+ visual condition condition (light scratch first two cuts on one side and some various other sleeve scuffs and light sleeve scratches but noting that appears to be deep or too terrible. Has not been play graded so no guarantees on this disc. The trunk slick is included and in condition as shown in framable condition with some light wear and tear and some light repair on the back side.

It should be emphasized that Butcher Covers of this quality and grade are highly desired by collectors and are genuinely scarce in this condition.

Payment is due within 24 hours of auction close.

This item is an original 1966 3rd State (Peeled) used example of the legendary Butcher Cover. This item is guaranteed to be authentic. Purchaser understands that this is a used item and therefore we request that that all photos be clearly examined prior to bidding. Given the fact that this item has been professionally peeled and altered from a 2nd state (unpeeled) condition to a 3rd state (peeled) example, this item has condition elements that reflect the process of treatment of the item when it was glued at the Capitol factory in 1966 as well as conditional elements from the actual peeling process. These elements generally involve mild glue lines that were made at the pressing plant when the trunk cover was pasted over but also include some minor issues from the removal and restoration process. This is not a new item but a used one that has been restored through a tedious and careful process. Item sold in "as is" condition as seen in the photos.
