RARER E. J. DAY COVER!
1964 1st Mono UK pressing on the yellow and black Parlophone label.
"The Parlophone ...." text on the label rim, "Sold in the UK text"
and "Recording first published on labels.
Cover: Near Excellent. This is the much rarer E J Day 1st pressing cover which is laminated on the front (unlaminated rear) with the flat rear triple flip-backs; and the 1st pressing mid-size MONO text on the front cover. No writings/doodles or seam splits - which is amazing as most Beatles records from this era have some writing/doodles or messages on them. Some wear to corners/edges, light laminate creases and the flip backs have some creasing - see photos.
Inner sleeve: Emitex poly-lined inner sleeve is Excellent+.
Labels: Excellent. KT tax code on Side 1.
Vinyl: Play tested. Side 1 looks VG with a nice sheen - it has two feelable scratches across the first two tracks. Side 2 looks Near Excellent with one feelable hairline scratch across the forst two tracks. No skips/jumps. Amazingly, the scratches on both sides do not seem to have any impact on playback. Playback is Excellent on both sides with only minor crackle here and there - fab listening experience. A real testimony to the durability of these UK first pressings.

Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
