BEATLES LP MONO WITH THE BEATLES Y/B PARLOPHONE PMC 1206

On offer is The BEATLES LP entitled WITH THE BEATLES released in the UK in mono on yellow-black PARLOPHONE PMC 1206 in 1963 which is in nice EX- / EX- condition.

This is the 2nd press MONO identified by the following criteria: 

• The disc has the Dominion /Belinda credit for ‘Money’.
• THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD.  text is around the rim
• The disc is without ‘Sold in UK’… text. 
• The label has RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963.
• On the front cover there is a large – mono – IN BOLD LETTERING.
• The flip-back sleeve is manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse.
• The disc has the original / correct ‘Use Emitex’ inner.
• The matrix numbers of the disc are:  XEX 447–3N and XEX 448–3N respectively.      

The LP has been very well looked after and has been kept by me in a plastic sleeve for over 30 years which has ensured it has kept its fresh look.

The description of this LP is as follows –

• The disc is visually in nice EX condition – with a lovely sheen and clear, clean vinyl on both sides. There are only a couple of minor surface marks/hairlines on each side of the disc and none of these affects play.
• The disc sounds superb throughout. I have just test played the disc for the first time in many years and it plays excellently with a full dynamic range on my hi-fi. The only audible blemish is that it crackles loudly – when I put the stylus down - in the run-in to Side 2: but this stops  as soon as the LP starts to play.
• The labels are also in nice EX condition on both sides.
• The Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd  - earliest 'Patents Pending' laminated flip-back picture sleeve front cover - is in a nice EX- condition: with only minor creasing… There is a very small seam split in the middle of the bottom edge and a small seam split in the right hand top corner– but these are not major splits. 
• The white (non-laminated) back cover is very clean and has some minor foxing / browning with age - but this is not extensive or unsightly: as you can see from the scans.
• The spine is in great condition. The LP title on the spine – With The Beatles – is clearly readable and all edges and corners of the spine and the cover are intact.
• The ‘Use Emitex’ inner (in VG condition) is the correct one for this 1963 LP. This inner no longer houses the disc which is now kept in a new plain white inner to protect the disc and the original inner. Both inners will – of course - be supplied to the winner.

Overall this is an EX-/ EX-  Beatles 2nd Press MONO LP – With the Beatles on Parlophone… that has been well looked after over the years as part of my personal collection.
