THE BEATLES - MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR

Very rare original mono 1967 first pressing UK issue set of two EP's with amazing colour booklet sleeve and lyric sheet-just as the Beatles originally intended to release it, all complete and in near mint condition.

PARLOPHONE RECORDS -MMT-1 - MONO (1967) - Rare UK 1st Pressing on Parlophone label with "The Gramophone Co. Ltd" and "Sold in UK.." label text, and blue lyric sheet.

This was released by the beatles in 1967 after "sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band", however it did not sell too well here, partly due to the American LP version being imported into the UK and being bought instead of this release ( more of the US Lp's were sold in the UK than these EP's!) Eventually it was released as an LP in the UK ten years later. Superb 24 page booklet telling the story of the film in pictures and psychedelic style comic strips, two Ep's and blue lyric sheet.

Vinyl is in very good condition with some slight marks that are inevitable from it having been played a few times, but you need to hold it to the light to see them. The records have been stored in the gate folds in the booklet rather than in paper sleeves as normal. The record labels are in good condition, with a few small spindle marks. Both EP's Have original centres still attached, there is a "KT" tax code embossed on label side four. The original laminated booklet is in very good condition: BUT there is some wear showing along the lenth of the spine, and minor abrasion around the edges of the sleeve, the remnants of the orignial price label on the back cover and a small pen mark hidden inside the record sleeve, plus some yellowing (it is nearly forty years old). It is almost like new, the pages are all crisp, there are no creases, folds, or tears anywhere, this is a superb collector's piece.
