Description
This is the original UK double LP by the BEATLES, THE WHITE ALBUM, MONO, released in November 1968 on the dark green APPLE label PMC 7067/8, with "Sold in the UK" label credits, and top opener laminated Garrod and Lofthouse numbered gatefold cover, No. 0202463, with the word 'The Bealtes' embossed on the front of the cover, complete with the 4 prints of each Beatle, the original Garrod and Lofthouse credited large poster, and the black inner sleeves. Matrix numbers are, SIDE 1:-XEX 709-2, SIDE 2:- XEX 710-1, SIDE 3:- XEX 711-1, SIDE 4:- XEX 712-1. Stamper codes are, SIDE 1:- 1/GRG, SIDE 2:- 7/MP, SIDE 3:- 2/RT, SIDE 4:- 3/RD. The original UK MONO lamianted Garrod and Lofhouse gatefold cover is in VG+++ conditiom, their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits, the spine is fully intact and readable, the cover is lovely and clean, with only a little minor discolouring, a very respectable original UK MONO numbered gatefold cover. The vinyl is visually in, SIDE 1 & 2 VG++, SIDE 3 & 4 EX condition, the vinyl's light marks here and there, but donot effect the audio. The audio grading is a STUNNING EX+++, both vinyl's plays superbly, the quality of these UK MONO pressing is outstanding, playing with beautiful crisp clarity, quiet tracks on the LP's, "Dear Prudence", "Martha My Dear", "BlackBird", and "Mother Nature's Son" play quietly, almost perfectly!, such is the quality of this pressing, their is only a very small hint of light crackle in various places on both vinyl's, but this is being very critical, mainly inbetween tracks. I never get tired of playing a original UK MONO pressing of this album, it's sheer heaven for me, in my eyes this is 'THE' best album they did, a absolute MASTERPIECE, the album has a mix of beautiful soft sensitive tracks, and some fantastic rip roaring loud tracks, such as one of my favourite songs on the album "EVERYBODY'S GOT SOMETHING TO HIDE EXCEPT ME AND MY MONKEY", whilst Paul sings the majority of the quiet tracks, John really belts out this track, with great power and emotion, sublime vocal's by John. All labels are in EX+++ condition, apart from side 1 which has very minor wear, which is not visually intrusive EX condition, all are lovely and clean, with no unwanted writing, minimal wear. Both vinyl's housed in their original black inner sleeve and in EX condition, their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits, minimal wear. The 4 prints of each individual Beatle are in NEAR MINT condiiton, lovely and clean and crisp, with no unwanted writing, and no rips, great condition. The original large Garrod and Lofthouse credited poster is in a strong VG+++/EX condition, slightly fragile, but with no splits, and no unwanted writing, lovely and clean, with no pin holes in the corners. Altogether a very respectable copy of this original UK MONO double LP by the BEATLES, THE WHITE ALBUM.
