Description
This auction is for a copy of The BEATLES, PLEASE PLEASE ME Parlophone PMC 1202 MONO from 1963 with the BLACK & GOLD Label.
The Black & Gold version was only available for a month or two upon initial release so is a very desirable LP. It has the large MONO on front sleeve.
I am not an expert but try to be very honest with my appraisal of the item.
The RECORD, I would rate the record as very good it has a few surface marks and although there is some surface noise the tracks still sound crisp to my ear. There is however a scratch that is audible for the last part of PS I Love You.
Please email if you have any questions or doubts.
The pressing is from matrix XEX 421 - 1N and XEX 422 - 1N.
It is also stamped “R” on both sides with a central boss tax code of ZT on side 2
The gold on the LABEL is a bit faded and it has spindle marks around the centre showing it has been used - see photo.
The SLEEVE is a little disappointing as it shows wear on the back at top and bottom. Some kind soul applied cellotape on the back at the top and on both sides at the bottom. See photo's. The inner sleeve is the original "Use EMITEX" but is torn in a couple of places.
SLEEVE is an Ernest J Day and Co Ltd, London with the large MONO logo on the front.
