THE RARITY OF THIS 45:- The Beatles released their first two 45s on the Red Parlophone label. Both are very VERY sought after indeed! And this one was The Beatles 2nd 45 EVER! 'Please Please Me' was only available for a TINY amount of time ONLY on the 'Red Label' before it was almost immediately changed to the VERY common Black labels that followed. Around 90% of copies of this 45 were pressed on the Black label - which makes the 'Earliest' 1st Press Red label copies almost impossible to find! SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE BEATLES ALL TIME RAREST 45s EVER, AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND NOW!
IMPORTANTLY - IT IS ALSO WORTH NOTING THAT THIS 45 - HAS THE ALL TIME RAREST 1ST PRESS 'WAVY LINED' COMPANY SLEEVE EVER MADE- WHERE ONE SIDE IS COMPLETELY BLANK WITH 'WAVY LINES' ONLY - AND NO PRINTED '45 BOX'!!!!
THE MYTH ABOUT THE 'GREAT BRITAIN' LABEL CREDIT:- To sell certain copies of this 45 at a higher price, some people have blatantly LIED about the 'Made In Gt Britain' credit on the labels. Copies of this 45 exist with 1G/1G stampers with NO credit, and copies exist with MUCH later stampers - WITH the credit! And vice versa! SO THE TRUTH OF THIS 'GREAT BRITAIN' CREDIT IS - THAT IS COMPLETELY RANDOM THROUGHOUT THE 1ST PRESSING RUN (BOTH LATER AND EARLIER STAMPERS EXIST WITH BOTH CREDITS!) AND MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL TO THE RARITY OF THIS 45 (COPIES WITH & WITHOUT THE CREDIT HAVE THE SAME RARITY!)!

LABELS:- VG+++++ if not better (though most would grade EX here!). NO WRITING, NO TEARS, NO STICKERS, NO STAINING, NO IMPRESSIONS - AND ONLY SOME VERY MINOR 'TEXTURISATION', ONLY 2 OR 3 TINY DISCOLOURATION TRACES, AND ONLY THE TINIEST TOUCH OF WEAR AROUND THE CENTRE HOLES! STILL A BRILLIANT SET OF LABELS!
RECORD GRADING:- The record is in GREAT condition! Even under light the record looks BRILLIANT and JET BLACK! It has NO feelable scratches AT ALL, NO nasty concentric marks, NO nasty 'tick' marks, only a few light hairlines, only 3 or 4 scufflines (visible but NON sounding!), and only a few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! The record also plays BRILLIANTLY - with NO skips, NO jumps, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO groovewear, barely ANY distortion, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL! The record must MEGA STRICTLY grade G++++ if not VG(-) (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) - though I suspect most would call this a straight VG if not better! This 45 is VERY bright and shiny - and still a very VERY decent example indeed!
COMPANY SLEEVE:- Original 1st Press 'Wavy Lined' Parlophone Company Sleeve in VG+++condition - with NO splits, NO rips, NO tears, and NO centre hole splits!
