BEATLES Please Please Me Black/Gold Parlophone 1963 LP
Original black & gold label debut 1963 Parlophone LP from the Beatles. Mono record with side 1 matrix: XEX 421 - 1N & side 2 matrix number: XEX 422 - 1N Record housed in early 60s style Parlophone flip back sleeve manufactured by Ernest J. Day & Co. Photo on front cover is credited to Angus McBean in very small print on the bottom right hand corner of cover. Side 1 has the additional RG figures at 90 degrees to the matrix number and side 2 has the additional GA figures at 90 degrees to the matrix number.
Item still in absolutely wonderful condition. There are some superficial signs of use but still a great player and in lovely collectable/playable condition. Cover still very smart apart from some light storage wear and minor signs of age and storage: No writing, seam splits or problems. Some light edge scuffing and faint discolouration on the reverse but still sharp. Record looks to be in strong VG grade condition but plays much better. Luster still shiny and labels still crisp and sharp without signs of overuse around the center hole. Some light visual surface marks but record still sounds amazing with only faintest traces of prior use. The worst visible mark is before the record starts on side 1 and therefore causes no problems. There are are a couple of slightly heavier looking surface scratches but again, these also play through without problem. Absolutely no heavy marks of any kind, no jumps or sticks of any description. Still a great player with absolutely no problems.
