BEATLES UK, Help, mis pressed sleeve, original 1965 UK first issue mono LP.

PMC 1255, original UK 1965 black and yellow Parlophone record labels.

A UK copy in original condition, featuring:

1. the main card sleeve has been mis pressed, ie 'out of alignment'. On the rear it looks like the printers text of, 'Garrod and Lofthouse' has not been printed on the rear, lower 'flipback'. This text oddly appears 'inverted' on the front lower edge instead !, due to incorrect alignment during manufacturing at the EMI factory. Also the mono logo on the front of the sleeve appears 'too high', as it appears very close to the top edge of the sleeve. This 'mis pressed' sleeve should not have got through EMIs quality control department, but it did and it made it out into the shops,

2. there is an additional 'dot' printed on the record label on side one, as it reads, 'Sold in .U.K.' etc,

3. comes with its original, 'Use Emitex' inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in excellent condition and has remained clean, white and straight and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The rear of the sleeve features the original UK 1960s tri 'flip back’, ie fold over edges. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. To the rear, top right corner there is an area of 'correction fluid', (typex).

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. An excellent clean, white well preserved ‘crease’ free inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent+ condition. Side two is in near excellent condition. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The record 'engraved' matrix are: XEX 549 – 2 and XEX 550 – 2,

The records 'engraved', 'mother / stampers' are: ‘5 GLO’ and ‘2 RPO’.

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays excellent++, each side plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record plays with a full, loud period 'mono' sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
