BEATLES UK, White Album, ‘Racoon’ mis press & 1G, original 1968 UK numbered stereo sleeve.
PCS 7067/7068, UK 1968 first issue Apple record labels.
A UK 1968 first issue, top loading stereo sleeve with a unique serial number of, ‘0175552’.
A unique record set, that features a ‘1 G’ mother/stamper on the same record that features a ‘Racoon’ spelling mis press. Featuring:
1. on side two of the record label it features the spelling mistake of ‘Racoon’ !, as it has been incorrectly spelt with one ‘c’ !, this was soon spotted by EMI and corrected but some records made it out into the shops,
2. side one of the record has the earliest ‘mother/stampers’, of: ‘1 G’,
3. the rear of the sleeve features an original period EMI factory ‘stereo’ sticker,
4. as this is a UK 1968 first issue, sides one and three of the record labels feature the original dark green Apple colours,
5. as this is a UK 1968 first issue, each of the record labels show the text, ‘Sold in UK’, etc.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the double album ‘gate fold’ sleeve is fully laminated. On the front it has an embossed Beatles logo and a unique individual serial number of, ‘0175552’, this number appears clear and bold. The spine is in very good+ condition and all the text on the spine can be read. As this is a UK 1968 first issue the sleeve features two visible ‘flip backs’, ie fold over edges seen when the sleeve is opened. When the sleeve is opened it is glossy and clean for its age. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue. On the rear panel there are some small areas of laminate loss and a light ‘water’ mark to the bottom edges. The bottom corner of the spine has some creasing.
THE INNER SLEEVES: are the original black APPLE inner sleeves and have not been replaced. One sleeve is in very good++ condition, it has a split to the two side edges and to the bottom edge. There are NO tears, stickers or sticker residue. The other sleeve is in very good+ condition, it has a split to the two side edges and to the bottom edge and some small ‘nicks’ to the rear opening edge and a small ‘nick’ around the ‘die cut hole’. There are NO stickers or sticker residue.
THE PHOTOS: the four photos are in excellent condition. The photos are made of quality card and have remained very clean for their age. Theres NO pen writing, tears, sellotape residue, pin hole damage, ‘blue tack’ residue, stickers or sticker residue to the photos. Each photo has some light ageing to the rear, here and there.
THE POSTER: is in excellent condition. A very clean, white poster for its age, it is made of quality, thick grade paper. Theres NO pen writing, stains, sellotape residue, pin hole damage, ‘blue tack’ residue, stickers or sticker residue on the poster. There is some slight wear to some of the folds at the edges and a slight ‘water’ mark to the bottom edge, but this doesn't notice too much.
THE RECORDS: record one, side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in near excellent condition. Record two, side three and four is in near excellent condition. The records are made of the original 1960s ‘thick and heavy’ vinyl. The records have remained dark and glossy.
The matrix are: YEX 709 – 1, YEX 710 - 1, YEX 711 - 1 and YEX 712 - 1.
The mother / stampers are: ‘1 G’, the earliest you can have and ‘3 H G’, ‘3 G M L’ and ‘2 G D H’.
THE AUDIO: each side plays excellent, each side plays with some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there. Each side plays with a full, powerful period ‘stereo’ sound. Each record lays flat on the turntable.
THE LABELS: label one is in excellent++ condition, label two is in near MINT condition. Labels three and four are in excellent condition. Each label is free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
