This is a rare opportunity to obtain a complete UK 1st pressing of The Beatles White Album. This is an original, individually numbered sleeve which opens at the top, complete with the original black inners, poster and photos and original first press vinyls all with -1 matrix numbers.

I have a 100% feedback rating because my records are always described accurately and fairly. I try to point out any blemishes which might detract from the item or affect its grading. All the photographs in this listing are of the actual item you will get and some have been taken with a flash.

Detailed description:
Original matt poster - it has never been hung on a wall and so has no pinmarks or sellotape etc. There are no tears or splits and no writing or other blemishes, just some wear along the folds and tarnishing from handling and storage.

Original inner sleeves  - no splits and just a few snags at the openings and small tears around the centre holes and light creasing.

Labels: Note that these are the earliest labels and none of them have "An E.M.I. recording" printed on them. None of the labels have any stickers or writing on them and all of them are free of wear around the spindle hole except for side one which you can see in the last photo.

Vinyl: Both records are nice and flat with no warping and the vinyl looks to have been generally well cared for. I have listened to all four sides and the whole album was enjoyable to listen to. The play quality is higher than a visual inspection would lead you to believe, as all four sides have visible marks etc so please do not bid if you want a copy just to look at which has pristine, unmarked vinyl, but if you want a copy to play then this could be for you.
Side one has slight crackle on the run in to Back in the USSR and one or two clicks in Dear Prudence and a couple on the Spanish Guitar intro to Bungalow Bill.
Side two has some noticeable clicking on the run in and piano intro to Martha my Dear and there is a single needle skip before the vocals come in, but the track plays through without any problem and the rest of the side plays well, with just a few light clicks on Piggies and a little bit of crackle during Julia.
Side three is superb with virtually no noise anywhere including in the silent grooves between tracks.
Side four has one or two clicks in Honey Pie and Cry Baby Cry and then a soft click which can be heard during part of Revolution 9.
Except where stated above there are just occasional, random soft clicks and pops here and there, no intrusive background noise, and no repetitive clicks or jumps, skips or sticks. 

Sleeve. The fully laminated, top loading sleeve is complete and intact. It is number 0487227 and is an original stereo sleeve with the word stereo stamped on the back. There is virtually no edge wear and the writing on the spine is still fully legible. There is just slight shaping around the record, slight wear to the top openings and moderate wear to the corners. There are no tears, splits, or writing anywhere on the sleeve and no significant ring wear. There are a few oxbow laminate creases front and rear and there is a noticeable crease in the bottom right corner where the unique number is. The sleeve has discoloured only slightly with age and is still quite white compared with many I have seen.

Detracting features not covered above - none.

Insurance: Every item/order above £36 will be sent insured, unless the buyer specifically requests otherwise.  If you choose not to insure your item and it gets lost in the post or damaged you will not be able to make a claim for the full value of the item. The cost for this insurance will be at the buyer's expense and is an extra £4 in the UK and an extra £8 everywhere else (add these to the P&P costs below). Please note that for orders outside the EU I need to complete a customs declaration and must enter the value of the package on the declaration.

UK

First LP or 12" = £3.50, each additional LP or 12" add £0.80.

First 7" or CD = £1.50, each additional 7" or CD add £0.50.

 

Europe

First LP or 12" = £5.00, each additional LP or 12" add £1.80.

First 7" or CD = £1.90, each additional 7" or CD add £0.60.

 

Rest of the world (anywhere outside Europe)

First LP or 12" = £7.50, each additional LP or 12" add £3.00.

First 7" or CD = £3.20, each additional 7" or CD add £0.90.

 

Double albums count as two items.  Posters, magazines, newspapers etc cost the same as LPs. Box sets and other specials will be priced accordingly.

 

All items will be very well packed using professional mailers and stiffeners as necessary. I try to recycle packaging wherever possible.

 

I usually send items within two days of receiving payment.
