Description

RARE!! Beatles “WHITE” album LP. Original 1968 UK.

MONO. Very earliest FIRST PRESSING!!

“White Album”. ***Very Low Number. 0104638***

Up for auction is this rare original MONO White album. The making of this album reportedly brought about the demise and eventual break-up of the band. All four labels omit “An EMI Recording” on this version for, making this one of the very earliest pressings.

This album has of course been played and shows some light indiscretions both to the outer cover and the vinyl. BUT, I must stress that these anomalies are only slight and the sounds are quite superb.

COVER: EX+. No writing. No rips. No tears or stains. Just slight bruising at the corners, but definitely nothing major or ugly. All lamination is intact. Inner flips are well stuck down. Slight rubbing on the spine, but nothing serious and the titles can still be read. Overall, a very, very good cover. Better than most you will see. Almost no yellowing.

VINYL: Just a couple of light scuffs or faint stylus marks are present which do not affect the superb quality of play. Definitely nothing feelable. All four sides still retain their just pressed glossy sheen and are perfectly flat with no warps, skips or jumps.

GRADED: First record: Very strong EX+

Second record: Very strong EX-

LABELS: Superb. Just displaying some spindle sheen. But this is usual for these albums. No stains. No writing. Lovely.

MATRIX NUMBERS: SIDE ONE: XEX 709 - 1

SIDE TWO: XEX 710 - 1

SIDE THREE: XEX 711 -1

SIDE FOUR: XEX 712 – 1

STAMPERS: SIDE ONE : 1 MG

SIDE TWO : 2G RD

SIDE THREE: 3 LP

SIDE FOUR: 4 TG

PHOTOS: All MINT.

POSTER: Near MINT.

INNER SLEEVE: Very good. Couple of odd nicks and wrinkles here and there. No side splits. Otherwise intact. These inners were notoriously difficult to keep in anything like mint condition. But what you get here is much better than most I have seen.

AUDIO: Excellent sounds from these thumping MONO recordings. No skips. No jumps. Just superb Beatles at their very best. Brilliant.

To sum up. This album is of course not mint, but is still deserving of a good home and should not be ignored, if only for its rarity value alone. The sounds are superb and truly classic. Most definitely Collectors Quality.

***A MUST HAVE ALBUM***

This rare album does not surface very often, so don’t miss out. Grab yourself a large slice of great musical history - and enjoy!!

BEST OF LUCK. AND HAPPY BIDDING.
