Description
The BEATLES - White Album, issued in 1968 on Apple Records, PMC 7067/68
- In top-loading gatefold sleeve, embossed on the front with "The BEATLES" and numbered: "No. 0003358"
- The 2 LPs have the first issue dark green labels which omit the "An EMI Recording" text - a mistake remedied after the first few thousand copies were made, as this record was not really a proper "Apple Record" as it had the old Parlophone prefix still (PMC) and the group were still under contract with EMI.
- Labels include the text: "Sold in the uk..." P.1968
- MATRIX NUMBERS: XEX 709-1 / 710-1 / 711-1 / 712-1
- Complete with poster, 4 colour prints and black inners
CONDITION:
LPs = a few surface scuffs/marks - very light surface noise, but play well and sound great - skips once on "Martha My Dear" due to a small scratch, otherwise the rest of the disk is very good. A pleasure to listen to!!!
Black sleeves - very good
Labels - very good
Cover - Off-white, minimal wear to the record entry (top of sleeve) - spine is still all intact and readable, on the whole great APART from a sellotape mark which once fixed a split in the bottom of the front gatefold. This doesn't spoil the overall appearance of the laminated cover and it is still all together and looks and feels superb!
Poster - Has the "I Love You" writing inside the lipstick kiss graphic (later issues of the poster omit this) - looks great - a slight coffee stain has made the top of the poster a little rippled, but this is largely superficial and only noticeable on close inpection.
Prints - glossy and immaculate, save for a small crease in the top right hand corner of Paul. PLEASE NOTE: The photo below is a computer montage of individual scans of each of the prints as the only means I have of getting images onto Ebay is by an A4 scanner. Rest assured each of the prints has a white border around it.
