On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Beatles called 'Yesterday & Today' and is an ORIGINAL 1966 CAPITOL Mono Pressing on the 'Rainbow' Capitol label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST BEATLES LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS AN ULTRA RARE '2ND STATE' BUTCHER COVER PRESSING (WITH 'UNPEELED' TRUNK COVER HIDING THE BUTCHER COVER UNDERNEATH!) - AND IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION!!!!  AS MANY PEOPLE WILL ALREADY KNOW, THE INFAMOUS BUTCHER COVER WAS THE ORIGINAL COVER CAPITOL PLANNED TO USE ON THIS LP WHEN IT WAS 1ST PRESSED IN 1966. THE ORIGINAL COVER SHOWED THE BEATLES WEARING BUTCHER SMOCKS AND HOLDING CUTS OF MEAT AND DOLLS - WHICH WAS DESIGNED TO SHATTER THE BEATLES 'CLEAN-CUT' IMAGE!!!!  HOWEVER, WHEN THE FIRST FEW COPIES WERE SENT OUT TO RADIO STATIONS PRIOR TO RELEASE - THERE WAS A MASSIVE OUTCRY ABOUT THE 'POOR TASTE' OF THE COVER AND CAPITOL DECIDED TO WITHDRAW THE LP BEFORE THE ACTUAL RELEASE DATE!!!!  ONLY A TINY HANDFUL OF COPIES GOT OUT WITH THE ORIGINAL BUTCHER COVER INTACT (KNOWN AS THE 1ST STATE COVER) - BEFORE CAPITOL ISSUED AN ORDER TO DESTROY THEM.  HOWEVER, MOST OF THE COVER MANUFACTURERS DECIDED IT WOULD BE FAR EASIER (AND MORE COST EFFECTIVE!) TO 'PASTE OVER' THE REMAINING BUTCHER COVERS WITH THE NEW APPROVED 'TRUNK' COVER PHOTO - RATHER THAN DESTROY THEM!!!!  AND THESE COVERS (WITH THE BUTCHER COVER PASTED OVER BY THE TRUNK COVER) ARE KNOWN AS 2ND STATE BUTCHER COVERS!!!!  OF COURSE, THIS ONLY EVER LASTED AN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNT OF TIME, AND MOST COPIES OF THIS LP DONT HAVE A BUTCHER COVER UNDER THE TRUNK COVER!!!!  AND OVER THE YEARS (APART FROM 1ST STATES) THIS '2ND STATE' BUTCHER COVER HAS BECOME THE RAREST VERSION OF ALL!!!!  EVEN BACK IN 1966 MOST BUYERS OF THIS LP DECIDED TO RIP OFF THE TRUNK COVER TO SEE WHAT WAS UNDERNEATH (USUALLY DESTROYING THE COVERS IN THE PROCESS!)!!!!  AND OVER THE YEARS, 1000s AND 1000s MORE '2ND STATE' BUTCHER COVERS HAVE BEEN PEELED (USUALLY BADLY) TO BECOME A '3RD STATE' BUTCHER COVER (WHICH IS WHAT 'PEELED' COVERS ARE KNOWN AS) - AND SO TODAY AN UNPEELED '2ND STATE' BUTCHER COVER IN THIS CONDITION IS EXTREMELY RARE INDEED (AS MOST HAVE BEEN PEELED!)!!!!   AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL THAT '2ND STATE' BUTCHER COVERS (ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION!) THEN YOU ONLY HAVE TO LOOK AT THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE 'TRUNK' ON THE COVER FRONT - WHERE RINGO STARRS 'V-NECK' DARK TOP CAN CLEARLY BE SEEN THROUGH THE WHITE COLOUR, AND IF YOU LOOK REALLY CLOSELY YOU CAN MAKE OUT HAS FACE, AND LEGS TOO!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS '2ND STATE' BUTCHER COVER IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1966 U.S. '2ND STATE' BUTCHER COVER MONO PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'RAINBOW' CAPITOL LABEL, 1ST PRESS CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE, AND IMPOSSIBLY RARE '2ND STATE' BUTCHER COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL U.S. Capitol pressing from 1966 and is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The records run off grooves have the stamped 'IAM' in triangluar format, and the reverse of the cover has a number '3' - showing that both the record AND the cover were made in Scranton and are completely ORIGINAL to each other and as manufactured!!!!  The matrix numbers are T-1 2553 F1 & T-2 2553 F7.  All the tracks are Pure quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, only a few TINY traces of 'staining' to 1 label, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in SUPERB condition!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, only 2 or 3 absolutely TINY & MEGA light scufflines (only visible under EXTREME light!), and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS SUPERB!!!!  It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!!  It plays with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must grade FULL Excellent if not Excellent+!!!!  SUPERB RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Capitol inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The IMPOSSIBLY rare '2ND STATE' UNPEELED BUTCHER COVER is in SUPERB condition and has to be one of the BEST examples left in existence!!!!  As you can see from my VERY clear pictures - the cover has NO edge wear, NO repairs, NO splits, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear, NO yellowing (STUNNING white front cover!), barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO ringwear, NO grubbyness, NO sticker tears, NO sticker marks, barely ANY creases AT ALL (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO staining, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the back of the cover is in SUPERB condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, NO brown 'age spots, NO staining, barely ANY yellowing AT ALL, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Excellent+ if not better and is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to find like this!!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST & MOST SOUGHT AFTER BEATLES LPs OF ALL TIME - AND THIS HAS TO BE CONSIDERED AS ONE OF THE BEST EXAMPLES OF A '2ND STATE' BUTCHER COVER LEFT IN EXISTENCE!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
