Bob Dylan at the Aisle of Wight and The Beatles • scarce LP from Rainbow Productions

Descriptive Details Contents Title: Bob Dylan at the Aisle of Wight and The Beatles
Rainbow Productions Records
Deadwax etchings (side 1/2): MY-1 & MY-2
Ultra scarce LP from Rainbow Productions
(Although not as odd as pairing The Beatles with The 4 Seasons, this LP, which pairs Bob Dylan performances with songs from The Beatles, is even more scarce than the famous Beatles/4 Seasons VJ album.) Info On this album The Beatles perform what sounds like live versions of 'Get Back', 'When You Walk', 'Let It Be', 'On Our Way Home', 'Don't Let Me Down', 'Got a Feeling', 'Don't Keep My Waiting', 'Blah Blah Song', 'Ballad of John & Yoko', & 'Across the Universe'. Two of the three Dylan songs on this LP are from his gig at the Isle of Wight (called the Aisle of Wight on the LP cover). These are 'I Threw It All Away' and 'Maggie's Farm'. The 3rd Dylan song is 'Rocks & Gravel' which is a kick-butt outtake from the Freewheelin' studio sessions. The Band backs Dylan at the live concert and the performance/sound is superb. 'Maggie's Farm' is incredibly funky with some sizzling guitar runs by Robbie Robertson, certainly a prime example of the electric Dylan! 'Rocks & Gravel' has a moving rhythm vibe in the vein of the classic tune 'Mystery Train'--nice. More details about this album at this link. Condition This album plays in VG condition with background noise that's light to (for the most part) approaching a medium level, as played on a sensitive turntable (Basis w/Transfiguration cartridge). During the 1st half of Dylan's 'I Threw it all Away' there are 3 skips. When held and examined close to a bright light the LP visually is in VG condition with a number of non-feelable surface marks/hairline marks, and on side 2 there is a small portion of a hairline mark that is barely feelable which causes the above mentioned skips. One of the best cuts on the album, Dylan's 'Rocks & Gravel' plays in VG+ condition. Amazingly, the album cover is quite clean with but light NM- wear. Although far from perfect condition, this fabulously scarce LP is listenable. Shipping The actual ship fee may vary slightly from the fee calculated by ebay. Please see the Ship Fees sections directly below for various shipping options & to see when the actual ship fee differs from the calculated fee. Do email with any questions. Note that the record will ship Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation within the USA, & Priority Mail is available as an option. LP Grading, Payment & Shipping Terms, Etc. Grading Descriptions Follow the link to learn more about the grading used to describe the condition of LPs. NOTE: Unless indicated otherwise, the Seller applies MINT & NM as follows. MINT refers to an LP that is factory sealed. NM is the highest grade given to an open LP and album cover. A NM visual grade indicates an LP that is not sealed AND visually appears pristine/unplayed. A NM play grade indicates an LP plays exactly as or is extremely close to how a particular album would play if it was just unsealed. To determine visual grades, LPs are positioned close to a bright light which indicates flaws not noticeable in other lighting conditions. Payment Terms Buyer must contact the Seller within 3 days after the auction closes. If Paypal is used, payment must be received by the Seller within 3 days after auction closes, or within 10 days when other payment options are used. Should payment not be received, Seller reserves the right to cancel the auction and ebay might file an unpaid bidder action. Acquiring LPs and creating ads takes a lot of time & expense, so please be a responsible bidder. Packaging LPs ship properly packaged to eliminate all but the most severe abuse. For used LPs, insulation is placed inside boxsets and single LPs are re-sealed to prevent movement. Instead of single-walled mailers, odd-sized albums such as some boxsets ship in a significantly robust double-walled box and with the albums insulated from the inside of the mailer via a type of double boxing. For single LPs, the most robust LP mailers are used. These mailers were selected after rejecting many alternative LP mailers that did not meet critical requirements for rigid protection to the mailer's corners. Excellent packaging—though the supplies, included in the ship fee, sometimes cost more than typical. Ship Fees (USA Buyers) Delivery Confirmation is included in the ship fee. For purchases over $100 a small additional amount will be added to the automatically generated ship fee which adds protection against loss or damage. Shipment within the USA via Priority Mail, which some feel incurs less mischief while in transit and has a significantly quicker delivery time, is available as an extra cost option. Ship Fees (Non-USA Buyers) (1) The lesser priced First Class International Mail ship method is available as a courtesy to Buyers but use of this service does not include any protection against loss or damage. By selecting this service, a buyer agrees that the seller is not liable for any loss, damage, or other mishap that may occur to items sent via this service.
(2) When a buyer wants the assurance of protection against the full cost of their purchase, the Buyer must use the Priority Mail International ship method and use a small additional fee should the insurance level that comes with Priority Mail not cover the cost of their purchase. As this level varies by country the total ship fee will be determined at the auction’s completion, or interested Buyers can email Seller for the actual ship fee. ALTERNATELY, Registered Mail can be used as it provides a more secure delivery method relative to First Class and includes some insurance against loss or damage, typically $40 to $70 dependent upon destination. Registered Mail costs $11.50 plus the cost of the First Class International Mail ship fee.
(3) Due to postal issues, shipments to Mexico, Italy, India, and Malaysia must use either Priority Mail International, or Registered Mail which is an $11.50 add-on option to First Class Mail International. For those customers, the actual ship fee will be determined at the auction’s completion. Reduce Shipping Costs Will ship multiple auction wins from any current auction in one package whenever possible. If interested in auctions closing on different dates, please email your intent to bid on other auctions prior to the closing date of your initial auction win. Feedback Policy Our transaction will be a positive experience. Once you're satisfied, please leave feedback. In turn, Seller will leave feedback which will close his responsibilities and our current transaction.
