ARTIST: THE BEATLES
TITLE: THE BEATLES aka 'The White Album'
LABEL: APPLE PCS 7067/8
LOW START = NO RESERVE = THIS LP WILL SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER
I cannot stress too strongly what a superb example of this LP this copy is. If you win the auction I recommend that this item is archived and an ordinary copy is used for playing purposes - I have only played it once to test it and came through with flying colours.
This is an original first press top loading stereo UK LP in superb condition. please read the following description carefully.
EVERY THING ABOUT THIS COPY IS TOP QUALITY - its complete and original and every item is at least EX+ and overall the grade must be EX++. The winning bidder will not be disappointed.
The playing surfaces (VINYL) are superb - each LP grades at least EX++ for visual appearance - many would grade this near mint - it really is that good. The matrix numbers, stampers and grades for the individual sides are as follows:
Side 1: YEX 709-1, 4,OT, EX+++ (no marks visible even under bright angled light)
Side 2: YEX 710-1, 3,OA, EX++ (three extremely light and totally non-sounding sleeve withdrawal marks under bright light)
Side 3: YEX 711-1, 1,RG, EX++ (a handful of extremely light and non-sounding sleeve withdrawal marks under bight light)
Side 4: YEX 712-1, O,LD, EX+++ (no marks visible)
SOUND quality matches the visual appearance - both these LPs play like a just bought LP even after 40 years and have clearly been looked after very carefully by their previous owner. I could detect no imperfections in the sound reproduction of this LP.
The LABELS speak for themselves as can be seen in the photos - they as close to MINT as you could find.
The COVER is superb - it is flat with NO creases of any kind including 'laminate' creases. The corners remain sharp right angles with no wear at all, there is NO rubbing, NO surface wear, NO ring wear. The all important top opening egdes are razor sharp with no dings and NO fraying or 'feathering'. On the front is printed 'No 0491228' and 'The BEATLES' is embossed. On the rear is printed in small letters in the top right corner 'Stereo'. The spine is totally readable, straight with no creases. The laminate on the spine is lifting slightly in two places. As you can see the colour remains very good indeed with only very minimal fading. Overall the cover grades EX+.
There are 4 original photographs which are perfect EX++ (there is an original white interleaving sheet). The foldout lyric poster is EX++ with no pin holes, no marks and intact seams.
The original BLACK die-cut INNER SLEEVES are a joy. In the majority of copies of this LP the inners have been badly damaged but these have no tears around the die-cut holes, and grade EX+ at least.
This item will carefully packed - each item separately packaged and I must insist on special delivery postage in the UK and Airsure where this available for non-UK buyers. This is necessary to protect the winning bidder's investment in what is a genuine archive example of this iconic Beatles LP.

BUYER INFORMATION
Please note that unless the play quality is specifically mentioned records are graded visually. I aim to describe the visual appearance of all items accurately using the standards below which are based on the UK Record Collector Price Guide. The highest grade I use now is NEAR MINT ('UNPLAYED' if still sealed in shrink wrap or occasionally full MINT but only if the provenance of the item suggests this to be correct). Records graded EX+ or EX++ would probably be called 'near mint' or 'mint' by most sellers. Please READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY and study photographs to avoid disappointment later. I will refund only on items which do not conform to the description and standards set out here.
GRADING SYSTEM
NEAR MINT: The record appears to be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other inserts are perfect. For MINT grading see above
EXCELLENT: The item has been played and may have some light surface marks but there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.
VERY GOOD: The record has been played quite alot but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and contents show some wear.
GOOD:The record has been played many times and the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are often damaged.
I use EX++,EX+,VG++,VG+ as subsidiary gradings. Unless the record is extremely rare I do not sell items which are less than VG in condition.
Check out my feedback and you will feel secure in bidding but please note I cannot guarantee to describe every detail of the record and cover BUT the grading will reflect the general, actual condition. ONLY if the grading does not reflect the overall condition of the item will I refund. But be assured that if there is any major defect not mentioned by me I offer a no quibble guarantee.
