Legendary, psych funk jerk / scat pop masterpiece with the quintessential, studio CBE (aka Chatelain - Bisson - Estardy) French sound. Killer psychedelic lounge with maverick funky arrangements and slightly demented production. Lots of B-boy drums / hip hop / phased orchestrations / tape manipulation / studio FX / fuzz distortions / hammond funk / baroque harpsichord / scat chorus / groovy rock mass and whispering vocals. Great for DJs. Shades of J.P. Massiera / Godchild / Serge Gainsbourg / Sexadelic Dance Party / Vampires Sound Incorporation / C'ex / L'Oeil Bernadette et al. Our soundclip opens with the delirious wah wah and breaks of SISTER CHARLOTTE ABBAYE followed by the funky drums and human beatbox cum kooky scat vocal insanity of CHA TACHT KA / AUTOSCOPIE / LA GIGOUILLE / ALA MIA THRA / MONSIEUR DUTOUR / LE PAIN LE VIN and DE TEMPS EN TEMPS. Really difficult to find the 1st press gatefold issue in top condition, like this copy :) Bizarre sleeve artwork, especially the acid trip inner gatefold with nude models and Estardy at his mixing desk. Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with some light hairlines. Some light surface noises. The laminated gatefold sleeve is closer to M- condition with minimal wear. A few laminate crease lines and mini dents to edges from storage. Camera Flash glare to sleeve and label image. Very rare Lp!!!
