CRY TUFF WISDOM MAN 7" JA, matrix: DSR 7498/99...PRINCE FAR I A: BIG JOE NINE ME NINE ("Yunno We Are One Skin Flesh & Blood...They Took Us Away From Africa Land And Brought Us Here Down Ina Babylon..."...heaviest militant lyrics from this great DeeJay Big Joe...the riddim is easily identified as "Mean Girl" versioned by King Cry Cry at Studio One as "Natty Farmyard" and re-vived for his "Long Life"-longplayer as "Farmyard"...this cultural and ever popular riddim even to be found on "Cry Tuff Dub Encounter Chapter II" as "Ogun Dub"...this 7" is quite scarce...I&I tell ya...one more original press from around 1978 on Far I's highly sought-after Cry Tuff Wisdom Man-imprint...black-a-black sounds of roots + culture!) B: HAP ON SISTER (Killing dub-wize w/ short but ruff & tuff spoken intro!) (ORIGINAL PRESS - NOT A RE-PRESS!) FEATURE: BURY THE BARBER WAX'N'SOUND: ex / ex, both sides look sweet, showing only a few marks and light surface scratches, plays killer style w/ top punch + definite clear sound! LABEL: both sides show lightest general wear, NO writings, NO damages, small imperfections due to manufacturing process - watch the scan, please! Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone (as pretty looks isn’t all as they say) - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often). Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being). THIS IS MY VINYL GRADING SCALE: EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...) VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...) G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...)
