Beautiful copy of the rare 1947 4-disc version of Bing's Merry Christmas 78 album on Decca A-550. Features the original and by far the best version of White Christmas, as well as some wonderful songs with the Andrews Sisters. Most people have heard it, but when you hear the original 78s it is like hearing it for the first time. The sound is just wonderful on this original version of the record, and this copy really brings it out. All four discs are quite lovely and play just beautifully. I would call them all EX, with only a tiny bit of very light superficial scuffing. Each one plays near perfectly. Just a beautiful sounding set all around. The cover is also in exceptionally nice shape, with intact binding but a torn section of the spine at the top, cutting off the ME of MERRY. There is some tape still on the top there that seems to have at one time held that section on, but it has come loose altogether and now is just a missing piece. Still the cover is quite beautiful otherwise. Some of the usual edge and corner wear but not bad at all. This is a truly beautiful copy. Hard to beat.
