BLIND FAITH
ULTRA RARE B&W ALTERNATIVE SLEEVE
1st UK Press 1969
POLYDOR - 583 059B
MATRIX A//1 B//1 FIRST PRESSING
SLEEVE HAS CATALOGUE No. 583 059B BUT VINYL IS SAME "GIRL" VINYL 583 059 When Blind Faith was promoted before release - there was a lot of 'outrage' because of the 'girl' cover. Many companies (and in some cases whole countries) refused to sell the LP with the 'girl' cover. Here in the UK it was expected that many shops would refuse to stock the LP with the 'girl 'cover' - so quickly another cover had to be developed. However many shops in the UK 'rolled over' and stocked the 'girl' cover anyway - which is of course why the 'girl cover' is so common today. However a very small number of shops decided not to stock it - and so this 'other' cover was developed. However not many of these covers were ever sold at all. The cover that was developed for shops that refused to sell the 'girl' cover is very different from the standard (and common) cover!!!! It is a single sleeve which is fully laminated. It is very probable that this mega rare cover was only stocked for a very short amount of time during the record's chart run - and once the 'hype' and 'shock' about the cover had subsided - the few shops that had refused to stock the cover soon went back to stocking the standard cover. THERE IS NOT ANOTHER ONE ON EBAY - IT'S VERY RARE VINYL - NM vinyl!!! SLEEVE - VG+ The alternative B&W sleeve is in great shape, no rips or tears, spine is good with printing clearly visible. No ring wear. One tiny repaired tear on the opening. Some small amounts of discolouration from handling but that's about it, looks great for a 50 year old record TRACKLISTINGA1 Had To Cry TodayA2 Can't Find My Way Home A3 Well All Right A4 Presence Of The Lord B1 Sea Of Joy B2 Do What You Like
Vinyl: NM. Probably barely played if at all. Audio is sublime and this vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic album that went unnoticed. Anyone who loves the likes of CREAM and CLAPTON or TRAFFIC will be delighted to hear this quality album. The audio has beautiful separation and there is no background noise. I played this twice in full and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a crime so few people know about this gem!! I was even tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this again, it is indeed megarare now and always has been. Needless to say NO jumps, clicks or ticks. This will be a fantastic upgrade for most long time collectors!!
Sleeve: VG+. Fantastic looked after sleeve without any wear or damage. Beautiful laminated back and front. Impossible to find this very scarce album in this well preserved condition. Fully legible spine. No writing, no marks , one mini tear on the opening bringing the grading down to VG+, one of the best I have ever come across!! This is so very rare as it was barely sold at all!!
Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items, I always try my very best to describe everything exactly! PLEASE REMEMBER to contact me FIRST, if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one! I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem! This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Similarly with the amount of stars, anything less than a full 5 * rating is effectively detrimental to a seller's rating as lower ratings will incur higher Final Value Fees and lower priority in the bidlists eventually making it unattractive to list items on Ebay at all. I know of at least one major previous Ebay seller who has decided not to list via Ebay again. Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem. Thanks again!!
International postage will be tracked if over £0.00 at an actual Royal Mail extra fee.
