Brief description of item
Here is an album that's gone from sight! today these (more than) never turn up! in any condition. If they do turn up in MINT shape...Well you probably know the price. I offer this copy as a very nice listening copy. Decent cover which grades at exactly VG- (very good minus) the cover is not ripped or torn, or any names written etc, but has some aging in the form of crease/age wear. Very flimsy in nature and prone to ripping easily. From 1969, this ain' t to bad!
The actual record itself, is very clean & plays for the best part on side 1 as EX- with some small parts of "background noise" surface in the some of the quieter places. But performs very nicely throughout this entire side. Very enjoyable zappaesque styling here, especially on "Peace Loving Man" CRAZY TRACK! and a crazy album indeed. Not mainstream in the slightest. You wouldn't see this on TOTP!!
The b side (side 2) Billy Boo The Gunman, has unfortunately a small surface scratch right at the outer rim/into about a 5 second part of the beginning of the actual track (cow bells/beat intro) skips twice, one small skip on the cow bells, and then a small jump into the main beat. Apart from this the entire side 2 plays at no less than VG++. I hear there are methods of picking the vinyl with "toothpick" to release the part of vinyl that's been scratched. I will not be attempting this feat myself - but you are welcome to if you know how & have that skill?? if you do, it's going to be worth it.
Clean record with some hairlines or light marks that otherwise (apart from the mentioned part) have any affect on play, other than perhaps a small part of isolated dust pick up. Still worth offering & I can only say, its a shame that there is this small issue, otherwise it's an excellent record & player. NOT a mint copy archive set, but a decent player to sit back & enjoy. Labels are the original MARMALADE & this is a STEREO production.
MINT value of this record is £700.00 plus. So my starting price is more than fair if you fancy a go. Stored within a hard plastic sleeve & will be sent record outside of the cover anyplace in the world, within a specialist mailer BOX. Cheers, and good luck. I hope someone can fix this small issue. THIS IS A HIGHLY CRITICAL LISTING, BUT ENTIRELY HONEST.
All vinyl comes from a smoke, damp and pet free environment

>> Grading of Items All items are graded conservatively according to Record Collectors Grading System Record Collectors Grading system
Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
