Blue Note BLP 1522 … Original blue “Bird Cover” designed by Reid Miles and drawn by George Wright. Photo by Francis Wolff. The Art Blakey Quintet, A Night at Birdland, Volume 2. With Clifford Brown, Lou Donaldson, Horace Silver, Curly Russell and the amazing Art Blakey … and with the famous announcements from Pee-Wee Marquette! Deep Groove, flat-edge, 161 Lexington Avenue address, RVG and “ear” in the dead wax, no “r”. LP looks awesome for its age … Labels look almost new, a very few light scuffs or very light scratches … nothing deep. Beautiful copy. VG+++ just short of NM. Has not seen a lot of play. The cover has some mild flaking on the edges. The seams are intact. Bottom seam must have started to split at the opening, but will not get any worse if you keep the lp out of the jacket (there is a very small piece of clear tape to prevent the split) … LP has been stored and will be shipped outside of the jacket.
