Description

BOB DESPER New Sounds RARE OG LP pvt NW downer loner folk psych 1974 RCS 740920 Shipping Info   Description Rare private loner folk psych lp: BOB DESPER - NEW SOUNDS - RCS/Rose City Sounds Records, RCS 740920, stereo, 8 tracks. THE RARE ORIGINAL RELEASE - the only one on ebay right now. Killer dark folk psych LP with several amazing tracks. Desper is a great player and has a wonderfully disarming singing voice. Considered to be one of the best US private press LPs in this genre, as exceptional in its own way as Perry Leopold's Experiment In Metaphysics. Very rare, only a handful of these have turned up over the past few years. According to the Pitchfork website, Bob Desper released just this one record, in 1974, and it was limited to a 500-copy pressing.
CONDITION: VG+/G+ (In the images of the vinyl, my reflection is at the bottom of the record, causing it to look warped, but it IS NOT!! The vinyl has minor-to-moderate scuffing and a few short, soft scratches, plus one short scratch that I can feel with my thumbnail but only causes some light ticks; the jacket has some heavy moisture damage to the bottom couple of inches, with spotting, scarring, some paper residue from another record jacket, and light rippling in that area on the front and the back; price sticker to cover; minimal rubbing to spine; light rubbing to bottom edge; top edge has minor rubbing and a 1.5-inch split).
(Vintage Records, Pacific NW, Indie, Private, Downer, Xian, Folk, Psych, 1970's, Vinyl, Music, Memorabilia, Souvenir, Collectible).

Shipping Info PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: We offer FREE SHIPPING to US buyers for purchases of any books, booklets, pamphlets, record albums, cassettes and CDs (will be shipped using Media Mail or First Class Mail, with tracking number). We will insure all items over $25. Please email with any questions prior to bidding. Every item is guaranteed to be carefully and safely packed. REGARDING IMAGE QUALITY: unfortunately, many of our older listings have images of poor quality; a few months ago Ebay changed their image size policies, and I was forced to automatically enlarge the images in all my auctions, which caused them to be grainy and blurry.
INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: please contact me prior to bidding so I can determine Airmail shipping options and prices for you.

WE NEVER USE STOCK PHOTOS - all images are of actual items. We grade all items conservatively, and when grading record albums we follow the Goldmine Record Guide. Please see our other Ebay auctions for many used, odd, rare and collectible books and records, paper & ephemera, and more. Thank you!
