Una speciale serie di sonorizzazioni consistente in 10 dischi, a cura di Ennio Morricone e Bruno Nicolai, (i 5 numeri dispari realizzati da Morricone, i 5 numeri pari da Nicolai). Nelle loro intenzioni un tentativo di approfondimento del rapporto tra Musica ed Immagine nel campo cinematografico. I brani, mai prima pubblicati e tutti con titoli casuali che non preludono al tema musicale, sono da considerare come le maggiori composizioni sperimentali e d'avanguardia di entrambi.  Ecco qui l'ottavo volume della serie.

A special library series consisting of 10 LPs , projected by Ennio Morricone and Bruno Nicolai , (the five even volumes realized by Morricone and the five odd ones by Nicolai). They look forward to a deep search of the relation between Music and Image (arguably cinematographic). The tunes , never published before and all with random titles not necessarily pertaining to the musical theme , are to be considered as the most avant-garde and experimental compositions by the twosome.  Here's to you the eight volume of the series.

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Note : composizioni e direzione orchestrale di Bruno Nicolai. Sicuramente musica d'avanguardia con abbondante uso di effetti sonori particolari e utilizzazione non convenzionale delle percussioni. Tuttavia è forse l'album della serie che lascia qualche spazio anche a sonorità più "ortodosse". Ci sono passaggi e brani di carattere sinfonico con il pianoforte in bella mostra. Da segnalare il particolarissimo brano " EQUIVALENZE " ricco di sperimentalità percussive ma guidato da ottimi vocalizzi femminile, forse di Edda Dell'Orso. 

Notes : all compositions and orchestra by Bruno Nicolai. Of course avantgarde music with plentiful special sound effects and the unconventional use of percussions. All the same, in my opinion, the album has a greater quantity of orthodox sonorities compared with the others of this series. There are symphonic passages and tunes with the piano on fine display. To mention the very special track " EQUIVALENZE " full of percussive experimentations and led by female wordless vocals. A performance of Edda Dell'Orso, maybe ?
