Description
For sale is an unfortunately incomplete recording of Bach's 'The Well-Tempered Clavier'. Two records (numbers AXTL 1037 and AXTL 1041) are sadly missing from what was originally a six record set, which means that the purchaser of these sublime recordings will be unable to hear sixteen of the famous 'forty-eight' Preludes and Fugues, which were superbly and compellingly interpreted nearly sixty years ago by Rosalyn Tureck. In addition, the sleeve of Record No.6 (AXTL 1041), contains Record No.4 (AXTL 1039), with Record No.6 (AXTL 1041) being absent.

Labels: Maroon/Silver (AXTL 1038 and AXTL 1040 being grooved)
Inner Sleeves: Original. Creased corners, otherwise Fine.
Outer Sleeves: The scalloped backed sleeves are generally Very Good, although there is evidence of minor delamination on the front sleeve of Record No.1 (AXTL 1036).
Vinyl: There are a low number of nsm's throughout the six records, together with the usual intermittent ticks, the infrequent crackle and the very occasional soft scuff which methodical cleaning would render less intrusive or inaudible; in every other respect the records are Very Good.
