Description

Here's a great 1953 release on the Folkways label (FA 2040).  10" 33rpm LP pressing. Includes insert in beautiful condition. Art looks a bit like Andy Warhol, but also like Ben Shahn. But, a few points to consider: Unlike most Shahn lp art, this is not signed. And, if you look closely at the point of the dagger being held by the subject in the picture, the tip sort of forms a sideways A, while the squiggles beneath the knife looks a bit like a sideways W. Finally, early in Warhol's career, when Shahn was much more well-known, Warhol had been referred to as a "poor man's Shahn," because they used similar rough lines. What do you think?

Regarding shipping - I ship quickly using new, professional grade materials. Shipping can be combined on multiple title orders.

Regarding grading - I try to grade by Goldmine standards - Mint (M), Near Mint (NM), Near Mint Minus (NM-), Very Good Plus (VG+), Very Good (VG), Very Good Minus (VG-), Good (G). I do not use the grade Mint on unsealed, opened records, discs or tapes. I reserve that designation for sealed items only. The highest grade I give opened, unsealed items is NM. Grading here is strictly by sight unless specifically noted in the condition section.
