Summary:
This FIRST ISSUE STEREO version of the Beatles album BEATLES FOR SALE is an all round very nice example of the Beatles 4th UK album STEREO release.
Album Description and Condition:
The FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The PARLOPHONE Co Ltd label’ rim, ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the SUPERB record labels labels.
Both record labels are in IMPRESSIVE EXCELLENT condition. A LOVELY CLEAN, UNWORN Set of Record labels, with NO handwriting or fading to the bold Yellow or Silver Printed text, showing just a few light spindle lines to each label.
Side 1 stamped matrix: YEX 142-1 and Side 2: YEX 143-1.
Side 1 stampers: 4 GD. and Side 2 stampers:1 GM..
There is an embossed KT tax code on the side1 record label.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in Excellent Plus condition, LOVELY, CLEAN, UNWORN Vinyl showing just a few light wispy surface hairlines. In normal day light these surface hairlines are not visible. There are NO deep scuffs or deep scratches.
Audio Quality:
The album plays EXTREMELY WELL from beginning to end - A CLEAR, STRONG STEREO sound with, NO skips, light background crackle can be heard in between tracks.
The Vinyl Disc comes in an ORIGINAL, USE EMITEX poly lined inner sleeve, which is a RESPECTABLE example. There is NO splitting to any of the seams, just mild creasing, and age toning.
…..And is protected in it’s ORIGINAL First Issue Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Gatefold sleeve, with internal flipbacks, printed ‘PCS 3062’ to the inner gatefold, and the word **STEREO** printed to the top right corner of the front of the sleeve.
The sleeve is in Very Good Plus condition, the sleeve still retains its GLOSS laminate to the front and back, and shows mild record indentation, and a small crease to the bottom right corner, and a small piece missing to the bottom left corner, and rub marks to the spine edge.
