THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
This 1st-class UK 1st mono pressing dates from initial December 1964 release on the yellow & black Parlophone labels: PMC 1240
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK....' text & have 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 503-4N & XEX 504-3N
Stamper codes: 4/GAH & 3/LO
Vinyl weight: 149g
Housed in an outer-laminated, inner-flipback gatefold cover, complete with its original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex'..' inner-sleeve

Labels: EXCELLENT +
A clean & unworn set with just a handful of light spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole with less on 1.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Extremely clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces where the only blemish in strong daylight is a 2cm, non-feelable scuff on side 1 and nothing I would call a scratch. Close examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals some harmless wispy paper hairlines but little else in the way of wear.
Sound Quality: MINT
This flawelss sounding copy has received just some careful play good equipment and I detected absolutely no crackle or groove wear on any track. Both run-ins and all bands play without interference and my careful playcheck at volume was uninterrupted by any clicks, pops, ticks or any other such distraction.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A highly respectable example of this extremely fragile cover with a glossy, unworn front leaf which is free from any 'thumbnails' or any other wrinkles or creasing. there is a touch of shelfwear along the lower edge but there are no tears anywhere. The rear panel is just as glossy and is again without any without any scratching or thumbnails or ringwear/disc impression.
The inside of the gatefold is totally unworn and remains clean & black where it should be with no yellowing to either panel or any writing or missing paper.
The spine is clean, fully worded & unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with just a few gentle storage wrinkles, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
