THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
This wonderful sounding UK mono 1st pressing dates from initial December 1964 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1240
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Parlophone Co...' rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code in in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrices: XEX 503-4N & XEX 504-3N
Stampers: 2/RAM & 1/ROA
Vinyl weight: 151g
Housed in an outer-laminated UK printed gatefold mono cover, complete with its original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: MINT -
A beautiful set showing just a small handful of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: MINT -
Both playing surfaces are 'as new' in strong daylight with only a few harmless wispy paper hairlines visible beneath halogen light. Tough to find one cleaner.
Audio: MINT
Played just a couple of times on quality equipment, all tracks play flawlessly. Our play-check found no trace of any groove/playwear or any clicks, pops or other such distractions on any track. You won't be disappointed with the sound quality of this disc.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this fragile affair with a clean & flat front leaf showing just a small wrinkle towards the lower edge and some light storage wear to the laminate and right corners. Both panels inside are clean & unworn with slight toning to some of the white areas but no writing or missing paper. Both upper and lower hinge ends are fully intact with no stresses or tears and the rear panel is as clean as the front, bearing the unavoidable faint disc impression. The spine is clean & square and all seams are smooth & unstressed.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with light storage wrinkles only.
