1964 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP
**NEAR MINT**
This beautiful & rare NEAR MINT 1964 1st STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3062
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible around the centre hole of the side 2 label.
Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback stereo gatefold cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1
Stamper numbers: 1/OA & 5/AO
Disc weight: 141g

No spindle marks to either label.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both surfaces of this immaculate copy are pristine and appear totally 'as new' in strong daylight with no scuffs, marks or scratches of any kind anywhere.
Close and careful inspection directly under my halogen desk lamp reveals nothing but a few barely visible inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines, but no other perceptible traces of wear.
Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs or dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
Arguably the best sounding of their early stereo LPs, there is little doubt that this exquisite copy has been barely, if ever played.
My extremely careful play-check at volume revealed absolutely no traces of any audible wear on any track or either channel - just a wonderful warm and clear sound.
Apart from just hint of light/normal background on the run-ins and between tracks, this is as good as new.
Cover: NEAR MINT
The cover to this LP is almost impossible to locate in this condition. Thankfully this example has been stored away for many years in ideal conditions and as you can see is in super condition.
The fragile front leaf is spotless and retains a sparkling, unscratched high-gloss laminate with no bends, 'thumbnails' or any other creasing.
There is a tiny bruise to the upper right corner but all its edges are razor-sharp and in perfect, undamaged condition.
The rear panel is as glossy as the front with its only significant faults being some laminate lift towards the spine and to a tiny area in the lower left corner.
Otherwise it is 'as new'.
The inside of the gatefold is as immaculate as it could be. Clean, black and white with no yellowing, writing or missing paper anywhere.
The vunerable centre fold is totally unworn and unsplit at both ends and both flipbacks are pristine clean & white.
The spine is square, unsquashed & fully lamimated and retains its undamaged factory 'pinched' ends.
All seams are strong, unstressed and unsplit.
Extremely difficult to upgrade.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT PLUS
Crisp & clean with just some natural age-toning & storagewear wrinkling but no splits, tears or other faults.
