THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
This wonderful sounding UK 1st STEREO pressing dates from initial December 1964 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3062
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK...' text & 'The Parlophone Co..' worded rims.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrices: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1
Stamper codes: 4/- & 5/MH
Vinyl weight: 139g
Housed in an outer laminated, UK printed gatefold cover with outline stereo front indicator.
Complete with original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve
CONDITION
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight, displaying only some very faint wispy paper hairlines from the inner-sleeve directly beneath halogen light. Both labels are clean & bright with some light spindle marks and slight wear to the side 1 centre hole.
Audio: MINT -
Easily the best sounding of their early stereo albums, this well cared for example showcases the 'breath of life' mix perfectly. Played with care on quality equipment only, all tracks play flawlessly and will not disappoint.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A highly respectable, fully intact example of this fragile cover which retains a clean, unworn front panel leaf which bears just a single faint 'thumbnail' and some light shelfwear to the lower edge. All corners are nice and sharp with no bumps or bruising and both ends of the delicate central hinge are unsplit. Both panels inside are clean, unyellowed and blemish-free. The rear panel is as clean & glossy as the front with just an unavoidable, faint disc impression. The spine retains clearly defined factory 'pinching' both ends with the rest is square and uncrushed with a perfect text.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Some storage marks but otherwise flat & intact with no writing, tears or seam splits.
