1964 UK 1st PRESS *MONO* LP
**RARER -3N/-3N MATRICES**
This superb 1964 UK 1st mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1240
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in its original outer laminated, inner-flipback gatefold mono cover.
Complete with its original poly-lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 503-3N & XEX 504-3N
Stamper numbers: 2,5/MH & 2/ML
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine, unmarked surfaces which appear as 'MINT' condition when viewed in strong daylight.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few barely visible wispy inner-sleeve hairlines but absolutely no other marks or wear.
Heavy, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This copy sounds completely 'as new' throughout.
Played just a few times on top quality equipment, all tracks play without any traces of groovewear or other audible fault.
This '-3N' cut has the added bonus of being without the clumsy edit towards the end of 'No Reply' which blights the '-4N' & EP versions.
Hard to find an earlier or better sounding copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS
A wonderful example of this fragile cover which looks like it has just left the shop.
The front leaf is totally flat & uncreased with all its edges perfectly clean & sharp and without any tears or feathering.
Its only fault is some bruising to the spine corners, but these are not splits or torn in any way.
The inside is in perfect condition - clean, black & white with no discolouration, rubbing, writing or missing paper.
The spine is pristine white & square and retains its factory 'pinched' ends with no tearing to the upper or lower spine.
Both inner flipbacks & the seams are all in perfect condition.
