THE BEATLES - 'THE BEATLES' GREATEST'
1967 GERMAN *STEREO* PRESSING LP
This impressive 1967 pressing is on the red, gold & white Odeon label: SMO 73 991
This LP includes the version of 'All My Loving' with the 'hi-hat' introduction & the U.S. heavy reverb mix of 'I Feel Fine'.
Both labels have 'Urheber..' rims.
Housed in a fully laminated cover with its gold stereo sticker still intact.
The cover is still encased in its original shop shrinkwrapping and is complete with its original German Odeon advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YBEX 50069-1 & YBEX 50070-1
Disc weight: 153g
CONDITION
Disc
Labels: MINT
Both are in perfect condition with no spindle marks to either centre hole.
Visual: 1. EXCELLENT 2. NEAR MINT
Both surfaces appear 'as new' with their deep-gloss shines fully intact. Close inspection in strong daylight reveals just a single 7mm scratch on side 1. Close examination direclty beneath my halogen desk lamp reveals just a few insignificant wispy paper hairlines but no other marks or blemishes.
Visual: 1. EXCELLENT 2. NEAR MINT
As with the other German LP I have listed, this copy has been barely, if ever played. Apart from a repeating light click on the second half of 'Twist & Shout', there are no other audible faults or wear on this otherwise immaculate LP.
Cover
EXCELLENT
The shrinkwrapping has protect this cover from most that 42 years can throw at it, but there is some some age-toning to the exposed white areas. Apart from 3 small repairs to the opening edge there are no other major faults to be found elsewhere.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
A few unavoidable storagwear creases to the corners but no splits, tears or writing.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
