THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
1964 UK 1st PRESS *MONO* LP
**NEAR MINT**
This fine UK 1964 1st mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1230
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
A rarer 'MT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original white 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N
Stamper numbers: 7/AOR & 2/AAH
Just a single tiny spindle mark to each label.
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Both sides are extremely clean & glossy bearing just a few light inner-sleeve storage marks on side 1, but no scratches, scuffs or other marks.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals a few wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines but no further wear.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
This copy has been barely played & apart from an occaisional soft tick between some tracks, there is little to fault.
All tracks play without background noise, crackle or any significant derioration to the sound quality.
Both run-ins and all bands play extremely quietly and there are no major audible faults anywhere.
Cover: NEAR MINT
An outstanding example with a totally undamaged & unscratched front laminate which bears no creasing or any other wear at all.
Apart from a single tiny spine wrinkle, there are no creases of any kind - not even any 'thumbnails' near the opening edge.
All corners are perfectly clean, square and unbumped and both opening edges are clean, sharp & undamaged.
The rear panel is pristine white & 'as new' with no marks, writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are in perfect condition.
Hard to find a better example.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Crisp and clean with just some natural age-toning & storagewear wrinkles, but no splits, tears or writing.
