THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'

1964 UK 1st MONO PRESSING LP

**NEAR MINT IN SHOP BAG**

This NEAR MINT 1964 early 1st mono pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1230
Both labels carry the 'chubby' font, typical only of early 1st pressings.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' mono cover
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' lined inner-sleeve.

This fine copy comes together with with an original retail shop bag from 'Rhymes & Rhythms' in Kingston-Upon-Thames' (London).
(folded but on overall Excellent condition).

Matrix numbers: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N
Stamper numbers: 3/GOR & 1/GOO

Both surfaces appear MINT viewed in natural light bearing just some wispy paper hairlines viewed directly under a halogen desk lamp.
Otherwise, this disc appears essentially 'as new' with absolutely no other marks, scuffs or scratches to either side.
Thick, quality, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio: EXCELLENT

Carefully & rarely played, the sound is still bright & powerful with very little overall lessening to the sound quality and no major faults.
Careful listening at volume on headphones reveals some traces of groovewear to the two inner-most tracks only.
However, both run-ins & all bands are silent and there are no clicks, jumps or repeats anywhere.

A beautiful pristine example with a high-gloss, unscratched laminate displaying just one tiny 1cm 'thumbnail' but no other creasing.
There is just a small bruise to the lower right corner but all other & the opening edges are clean, sharp & unworn.
The rear panel is pristine bright, white & clean with no discolouration, marks or any writing.
Both seams are strong & unsplit with all the spine lettering clear, clean & in perfect condition.
Hard to find a better example.


Strict visual grading in daylight and directly under a halogen desk lamp.

All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
