Item Description & Condition:
’LOVE ME DO/PS I LOVE YOU’ was The Beatles FIRST UK Single.
Released by Parlophone, UK on 5 October 1962 - over 47 years ago - this FIRST ISSUE VINYL 45 is on the DISTINCTIVE RED Parlophone Label with Silver Printed text, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd....’ label rim and With ‘Recording First Published 1962’, With ‘Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd’ publishing credits. This version is **WITH** ‘Made In Gt. Britain’ label text printed to both sides of the record labels.
With the exception of a small sticker mark to the side 2 record label ,and a few light centre spider trails, both record Labels are in excellent condition. There is NO fading to the RICH, VIVID Red background and NO fading to the CLEAR Silver Printed Text.
Side 1 matrix: 7XCE 17144-1N and Side 2: 7XCE-17145-1N.
Side 1 stampers: MPZT/RR and Side 2: MPZT/RG.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in very good plus to excellent condition, showing some light surface hairlines to the vinyl, There are NO deep scuffs or deep scratches to either side.
Play Quality:
Both sides play very well throughout,lovely audio without skips, and only very mild background crackle to both tracks can only be heard at low volume
The Vinyl 45 comes in its ORIGINAL and Multi-coloured Parlophone Company Sleeve, which is in y RESPECTABLE VERY GOOD PLUS condition. Just some light creasing and age discolouration.
Overall a very nice example of this VERY COLLECTIBLE FIRST BEATLES UK Single.
