The Beatles –Help!– Genuine 1965 1st issue UK mono pressing on the yellow & black Parlophone labels with ‘Sold in UK…’ label text, catalogue number PMC 1255, dating to the initial release date of 6th August 1965.
Released just eleven days before their momentous Shea Stadium gig in the USA, the Beatles were at the very height of their powers. Help! captures the excitement, energy and drama of the Beatles like no other album. An underrated classic.
A superb audiophile copy.

Visual: EXC+MINT-
A beautifully preserved and unmarked copy which appears MINT in very strong daylight. On closer examination under a bright halogen desk light there are some ultra fine non sounding whispy sleeve removal marks. The heavy duty vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Audio: MINT-
A stunning sounding copy of this underrated Beatles classic. Amazing clarity throughout with absolutely no groovewear or distrortion to any of the music signals. The initial burst of sound from the intro to ‘Help!’ on track 1 is a joy to behold. Lennon’s wonderful acoustic ‘You’ve Got to Hide your Love way’ is one of the finest audios I have ever heard on any UK 1st pressing. The easily damaged ‘Yesterday’ is distortion free with barely any noticeable surface noise on the run in other than the sound of natural vinyl. There are no pops or ticks and the record does not jump or stick.

Some ultra light spindle trails visible on each label. There is no writing to either label. Side 1 carries the ultra rare and early MT tax code.
Cover
EXCELLENT
An original 1st issue patents pending Garrod & Lofthouse cover. The front panel has some faint thumbnail creasing. The back panel is free from any writing and shows only minimal signs of ageing. The spine is uncrushed and intact as are all the flipbacks. A well preserved cover and severely graded at excellent.

Original and correct Emitex rice paper inner.
