THE BEATLES
'LET IT BE'
EXCELLENT UK 'PXS 1' BOX SET
This fully complete set comprises all original components: outer slipcase, outer & inner trays, book & LP.
This set appears here as it was originally purchased by its original owner in 1970. No component has been switched/exchanged.
Condition
Outer Slipcase
EXCELLENT
An extremely strong & clean example which remains uncrushed and is still fully 'in-shape'. The front and rear panels are bright and glossy, displaying just a touch of normal light storagewear but no heavy creasing or damage. All the edges are sharp & clean with just a few small 'pushes' but certainly no tears or feathering. Both ends are clean & intact with no significant or major signs of wear anywhere.
Trays
Outer: EXCELLENT
Again, this has retained its shape completely and and is fully intact. Rarely for this component, the fold-over flaps are perfectly clean, uncreased and unrubbed and the outer edges/folds are clean, uncreased & totally undamaged. Apart from some light wear to the single fold-over flaps at the top & bottom, there is little else to fault on this great example.
Inner: EXCELLENT +
Always the most delicate and most easily damaged component of the set, this example is in remarkable condition. It is clean and unrubbed and all areas are unsquashed & completely in-shape. Apart from the tiny stresses the corners where the book sits, there are no other significant or major faults elsewhere. All the fold-over edges are intact and undamaged with no tears or missing sections.
Book
NEAR MINT
A first class, 'as new' example which has never been read. Both front & rear covers are clean & glossy with just some faint, non-feelable patternation to the laminate. However, this seems to be a manufacturing blemish and not a result of wear. The spine is perfect: uncracked and unbent and with no wear to either end. The credits page 8 are printed and there are no loose or missing pages.
Record
This is 100% the original LP which was included in this set when originally purchased. It has not been switched. Sets were sold at the time with red AND green Apple logo covers as well as these left-over export examples.
The disc has a dark green Apple Label: PCS 7096
The cover is a Parlophone PPCS 7096 EXPORT example with the boxed Parlophone logo on the rear panel.
Complete with its original plain white 'Patent No. 1,125,555,' inner-sleeve.
Matrix: YEX 773-2U & YEX 774-2U
Stampers: 1,6/LP & 2/GDA
Disc weight: 145g
Labels: EXCELLENT +
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean & glossy surfaces which display no signfiicant marks or wear in strong daylight. A few minor handling marks & inner-sleeve removal hairlines are visible directly under halogen light but, no major faults are.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This great sounding copy has received just a few careful plays on top quality equipment and is plays clearly & cleanly throughout with no groovewear, background or indeed any other significant or major audible faults.
LP Cover
EXCELLENT
A fine clean strong example with an undamaged high-gloss laminate which displays just a few small spine wrinkles and a small 1cm scuff to the lower seam but no other marks or wear.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT +
Pristine clean & white with no splits, tears or writing.
