THE BEATLES - 'LOVE ME DO'/'P.S. I LOVE YOU'
UK 1964 3rd PRESSING 45
This scare '3rd' pressing of thier debut single dates from 1964 and contains the same version as the 1962 1st pressing red label copies, but is on the black & silver Parlophone label: R4949
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK....' text and have upper/lower case 'Parlophone Co..' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the 'P.S. I Love You' label
'MPZT' codes are stamped in both run-outs in the 9 o'clock position.
This disc is housed within its original green & white Parlophone company sleeve.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17144-1N & 7XCE 17145-1N
Stamper codes: 1/AD & 1/RH
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & bright with the only blemish being a small scratch on the publishing credits of the 'Love Me Do' label. Otherwise just some light spindle marks are visible around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: GOOD
Both playing surfaces are clean but do display many light hairline marks consistent with frequent play on both sides. However, there are no heavy marks or scratches and both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: VERY GOOD
Clearly played many times, some light background is present throughout both songs. However, there is no wear to the grooves themselves and therefore no distortion or peakwear or any heavy clicks, pops or other such major faults.
Cover
VERY GOOD
Clean & flat with minor storagewear but no writing, splits or tears.
