Description
Hi, I assume that ebayers will know what they are looking at, a very early, low numbered Beatles white album (The Beatles), number 0040395.
Here is the rundown,
THEBEATLES (WHITE ALBUM ),
pmc 7067/8
No 0040395 (anything less than 100, 000 is a low number.
It is an early first press mono album, The Matrixes stamped on the run out groove are , XEX 709-1,
XEX 710-1,
XEX 711-1,
XEX712-1.
The cover is excellent, slight marking to shape of record and a few slight laminate creases, but no splits, spine is not split, "The Beatles" is embossed, nice hard gatefold sleeve, no doodles, writing, or anything number very clear. Printed by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd, No laminate lift. Does not say stereo on the back cover.
4 colour photos are near mint, not creased, no pin holes, or creases, very glossy,
The spacer ( a piece of paper with early copies to seperate photos ) is excellent,
The poster is excellent, near mint no tears or pin holes,
The black inner bags are excellent no seam splits or rips,
Labels are nr mint, very slight spindle marks, but very clear no writing or doodles Dark Green and White apples.
The Harrison and Starr compositions are credited to Apple publishing on the labels.
The labels read "Sold in Uk under resale price conditions, see price lists.... and manufactured in the UK, no EMI on labels.
Vinyl excellent, slight marks under light, slight hairline feathering and a very slight scratch on side two, and one on side four but plays great with no loud pops or jumps, nice loud mono mix, sounds great. Original heavy vinyl, no warps.
