Up for bid is an extremely rare promo 45, "Please, Please Me / From Me to You," by The Beatles. This is a promo press with blue and white interior labels, released by Vee-Jay Records (VJ-581). The etched matrix info for the side that contains "Please, Please Me" reads 63-2967. The matrix info for the side that contains "From Me to You" reads 63-3218.  45 is VG+, with light scuffs on either side. 45 plays with some surface noise (intermittent crackle) and no skips. I am sure a professional clean would eliminate some of this surface noise. 45 is very clean retains a nice gloss. Interior labels show light wear (see pictures) Picture sleeve is VG+, with no split seams. There is light ring wear on the front and back. We acquired a couple more rare Beatles 45s along with this one, with will also be listed for auction. According to my research, this 45 with the picture sleeve has sold only 2 times before, the last one sold last year for $1000, this first sold in 2005 for $1900!
