THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
1969 UK **1 EMI BOX MONO** LP
**NEAR MINT IN SHRINKWRAP**
This extremely rare 1969 UK MONO pressing is on the UK black & silver 'One EMI Box' label: PMC 1202
Both labels carry 'Gramophone Co..' rims with no tax/price is visible on either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse', small mono logo cover.
Complete with its original shrinkwrap and red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-2N
Stamper numbers: 15/RLA & 5/RA

Carefully played just a few times on top quality equipment only, both surfaces appear in MINT condition when viewed in strong daylight.
Close & careful inspection directly beneath a powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just a few barely visible inner-sleeve removal hairlines.
There are absolutely no scuffs, marks or any scratches anywhere on either side of this outstanding & rare disc.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This is an 100% perfect sounding 'as new' example.
All tracks play perfectly with absolutely no traces of crackle, groovewear or any other audible wear whatsoever.
Both run-ins and all bands play totally silently without any clicks or other interference.
(N.B: I never grade anything played as 'Mint')
Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS
Shrinkwrapping LPs was not common practice in the UK in the 1960's, making this copy extremely rare indeed.
The shrinkwrapping has protected the cover perfectly and has not contracted, thus keeping the cover in square, unbent shape.
The wrapping bears is some natural wrinkling & minor storagewear with a tear on the rear but no missing pieces.
The front panel has no creases or 'thumbnails' & bears just light wear along the front opening edge & some minor corner bruising.
The rear panel is clean & white with slight discolouration towards the opening, but otherwise it is unmarked & 'as new'.
Both the spine & the seams are totally intact & completely undamaged.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
