Pressing & Label Details

• Label Style: Black/silver Parlophone with “EMI” boxed logos at top and bottom.

• This is not a first pressing. Original 1963 stereo first pressings featured the yellow/black Parlophone label with the “£” logo, without EMI boxed logos.

• The boxed EMI labels were introduced around 1969.

• Matrix Numbers (dead wax):

• Side 1: YEX 94-2

• Side 2: YEX 95-4

These are later lacquer cuts compared to the first issues, which were YEX 94-1 / YEX 95-1. The higher -2 and -4 numbers confirm a later reissue pressing.

• Sleeve: Front laminated flipback sleeve by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. with “stereo” printed in the top right corner.

• Original 1963 sleeves are similar, but this later pressing sleeve still references Emitex cleaner and carries the PCS 3042 stereo catalog number.

Dating the Pressing

• The boxed EMI labels and higher matrix numbers place this pressing firmly in the mid-1970s era (roughly 1971–1976).

• It is not the 1963 first stereo issue, but an official UK reissue from about a decade later.

Condition (based on photos)

• Sleeve: Very clean, light wear, strong laminate gloss.

• Vinyl: Some visible surface marks and light scratches; likely plays with some surface noise but not heavily damaged. Labels are clean with no spindle wear showing in photos.


Estimated grade: VG+ (Very Good Plus) sleeve / VG (Very Good) vinyl.
