The Beatles - Please Please Me
(Parlophone PMC 3042 UK LP 1963)
This is a UK original 1963 Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve (E.J. Day) which has a large "Stereo" on the front. It comes with its original polythene-lined Emitex inner sleeve - which is in very nice condition.
The record has "yellow & black" Parlophone labels. They have "The Parlophone Co..." & "Recording First Published" texts. The matrix numbers are YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1. The mother stampers are G 1 & A 1 respectively. Technically this is a fifth Stereo pressing from 1963. These are quite rare.
Sleeve: There is a thin 1 cm strip of tape staining along the whole of the rear sleeve opening. There are two long scuffs across the rear sleeve also. Otherwise mild wear only. VG condition.
Vinyl: Light to mild sleeve rubs that can be seen under a strong light, and the occasional light hairline marks. VG- condition. The labels are nice and clean & show mild spindle wear. I have played this LP completely. It plays very well indeed. With only light crackle in the quieter places.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £40. Overseas buyers will add £5.25 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
