This EXCELLENT & scarce UK STEREO pressing dates from mid-1963 and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3042

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK....' text but have 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.

A 'ZMT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.

Stamper codes: 1/GM & 1/L

Vinyl weight: 164g

Housed within a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J .Day' printed cover with the large 'stereo' front indicator.

Complete with its original poly-lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT +

A clean & bright set with a small number of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.

Visual: VERY GOOD +

Extremely clean playing surfaces which retain all of their deep-gloss playing surfaces bearing just two or three light fingernail scuff marks on each side. The disc's only major blemish, a 3mm scratch on track 1 on side 2. Closer inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some unsightly, but harmless inner-sleeve storage marks but no further blemishes or wear. Both sides of this high-quality, heavy disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: VERY GOOD +

This great sounding pressing plays clean & clearly throughout with no traces of any groove/playwear distortion on any track or either channel. I would have graded EX+ for sound quality if it were not for a single skip on 'Love Me Do'. However, apart from that and two light ticks in the band between tracks 1 & 2 on side 2, there is little else to fault on this fine sounding disc.

Cover: EXCELLENT

A very respectable example of this fragile cover which retains a bright, clean & unworn high-gloss front panel bearing just a few small edge wrinkles & three small 'thumbnails' towards the front opening edge. There is a small bump to the upper left corner but all of the others are in excellent shape with just light shelfwear rubbing to their tips. Both opening edges are straight a clean without any tears or feathering. The exposed rear panel is clean with just a faint hint of water damage in the upper right corner, but certainly no marks, writing or missing paper.

All of the delicate flipbacks are fully intact and both seams & the spine are smooth, unstressed and unworn.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean, flat & uncreased with just a touch of toning along the upper edge, but no writing, seam splits or tears.
