THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'/'ASK ME WHY'
1964 UK *CROSSOVER* PRESSING 45
This rare 1964 'crossover' pressing is on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 4983
Unusual because the 'Sold in UK..' statement is present on the 'Ask Me Why' label ONLY
Both labels have upper/lower case 'Parlophone Co...' rims.
An 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the 'Please, Please Me' label and 'MPT' is present in both run-outs.
It is housed in its original green Parlophone company cover.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17217-1N & 7XCE 17218-1N
Stamper codes: 1/GPL & 4/GGA

Labels: VERY GOOD
General wear handling & play wear but no writing, missing paper or other major faults.
A clean & unblemished pair with just a handful of light spindle marks to each centre hole.
Visual: GOOD
Not in the condition I usually like to offer but included here due to its variation. Both surfaces are clean but bear numerous light wispy hairlines marks and the occaisional surface mark, but nothing deep or feelable.
Play: GOOD +
Sounds a little better than it looks with just a few light clicks & occiasional background but no groovewear, jumps, repeats or other major faults. A collection filler only until/if a better copy comes along.
Cover
GOOD
General wear & tear, but easily replaced.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
